With the rise of digital media and the proliferation of content, magazines and print publications have suffered from declining readership and revenues. Simply creating a digital copy of a physical magazine has not proven successful – yet a combination of great editorial content, digital service and business development can successfully guide a publication into the future.
Råd & Rön recruited Veryday to help create a new digital presence that would carry over their strong brand reputation and reader base. Veryday contributed to the strategy and concept behind Råd & Rön’s new website and service, as well as its user interface design, conversion optimization, visual design and business consulting, to create a digital presence with a stand-alone revenue formula. With the new digital service, for a small fee consumers may search for and purchase the results of any test in the company’s extensive library or receive subscription-based universal access.
Each detailed test result includes interactive charts and guides that help consumers make an informed decision prior to any major purchase. With a focus on comparative product tests and articles that complement them, the service is personal and interactive. This digital transformation has improved the brand’s customer experience, is a great financial success and has been named “best digital trade publication 2015” by the Swedish Magazine Publishers’ Association.
Råd & Rön provides a service that helps people make an informed decision before purchasing a product. The challenge for us was to understand the triggers for making people pay for this sort of service in a world where information is free, accessible and just one click away.
