This year Veryday has been credited with three iF Design Awards and despite over 4,500 entries the jury also honored the November chair with an iF Gold Award! This international award signifies the very best designs and is a confirmation of Veryday’s position as a producer of high quality design. The announcement of the 50 winners of the Gold Awards for prominent design skills will take place today at the awards ceremony in Munich.

Björn Jakobson, the founder of Babybjörn and the man behind Artipelag approached Veryday designers Peter Ejvinsson and Emmy Larsson only eight months prior to the opening of the center, with the request to design a chair specifically for the Artipelag with the potential of becoming a furniture classic.

The requirements were that the chair should be comfortable, beautiful and durable. A true challenge to meet in such a short period of time. Today, the chair has found its place at the Art & Design center amongst the pine trees and the rocks and with a magnificent view over the archipelago.

This chair has a great ergonomic shape while still retaining all of its sculptural look and feel. It perfectly sums up excellent Scandinavian design and the Nordic tradition of handmade chairs, yet November is a dining room chair made by a machine. A round of applause and an iF gold award!
