Veryday announces change in Executive Leadership
Published: 2 Jun 2015
Today Veryday announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Krister Torssell, has stepped down from his position. Vice President Birgitta Sundén has been appointed interim CEO.
Together with the Board and the management I have come to the conclusion that it is time for me to leave my role at Veryday. After 14 years as the company’s CEO I have reached a point where it feels natural to hand over the post to someone else.
Krister Torssell, Veryday
Veryday hired Krister Torssell in 2001. During his 14 years as CEO he has led the company through a phase of expansion and substantial development of business activities.
We would like to thank Krister for his commitment and valuable contributions during his years as CEO of Veryday. He has done a fantastic job and has been a driving force in the efforts to strengthen the company’s position in the global arena. It has been an honor to work beside him during these years.
Birgitta Sundén, interim CEO
Today, Veryday is one of the world’s leading design and innovation consultancies with operations on a global scale. With over 300 patents and 45 years of successful design history, Veryday has a strong position in the international design industry. The company has won more than 230 design awards and, in 2014, became the first Swedish company to be awarded the honorable title “Red Dot: Design Team of the Year”.
The Board of Directors has begun the search for a new CEO.
This is a natural step that we have all agreed on. The Board and the management team are now looking forward to further developing the company.
Britt-Marie Ahrnell, Chairman of the Board.
